The Katie Adams Music Enrichment Fund Donated $80 to help fund the $200  purchase of a Classroom set of Boomwhackers for a High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The project will reach 60 students, nearly all of whom are from low‑income households. At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households

The Boomwhackers have been purchased and we received the following note of appreciation from the Teacher:

Dear Katie Adams Music Enrichment Fund,
Since the day we received the Boom Whackers in the mail, they have been an exciting addition to our class! We’ve been playing the Boom Whackers, not only in music appreciation classes to learn the main themes of the music of various composers, but also in choir to give the students practice reading and whacking out rhythm drills, intervals, and chords for various Boom Whacker arrangements on YouTube from the Smart Board. My choir students come in asking, “Are we playing the Boom Whackers today?!” My students have not been this excited and engaged in a long time, thanks to the Boom Whackers!
