Drum Sticks
The Katie Adams Music Enrichment Fund Donated $226.52 to help fund $346 for the purchase of a Drum Sticks for a Middle School in Zapata Texas. The project will reach Eighty students, nearly all of whom are from low‑income households. At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households
The Drum Sticks have been purchased and we received the following note of appreciation from the Teacher:
Dear Katie Adams Music Enrichment Fund,
We are deeply grateful for your donation. When we first received our drumsticks we could not contain our joy. We have been able to learn music in class without having to wait to take turns. Every day we practice our bucket drumming and we have made extreme progress.
We have decorated our drum sticks with electrical tape so that we are able to maintain a longer life of each drum stick. To us these drumsticks are worth so much! Because of you we are able to become amazing musicians.
